Meet the Tutor: Sarah Kishk
Our incredible team is the best part of working with Revolution Tutors!
We’re continuing to highlight our staff members in a series called Meet the Tutor, where you’ll learn about each tutor’s background, interests, and teaching style.
This week, we’re highlighting the lovely Sarah Kishk, a middle-school math expert who--you guessed it--is married to the man in charge.
Sarah started tutoring with Revolution in high school and found her passion for teaching. She currently teaches middle-school math at Barkai Yeshiva.
Sarah’s favorite thing about working with Revolution Tutors is how far the Revolution community reaches. “Over the years I have worked with thousands of students from the tri-state area,” she says. “In any one day, I can help a student from Englewood with ACT prep over Zoom, have a private math lesson with a girl who lives down the block, teach an SAT class at the local high school, and train a new tutor in Boston. The scope of the impact I can have with Revolution is amazing!”
As for her tutoring style, Sarah describes herself as patient, yet persistent. She’s very clear and precise. She loves to see her students grow and she tries to make learning fun.
Here are five fun facts that Sarah shared with us:
I’m a sucker for reality TV--Bravo, MTV, etc.
I love jelly donuts and margaritas (but not together).
I failed my road test 3 times...and cried very hard each time.
I lived in Harlem my freshman and sophomore years of college.
I get no special treatment being married to the boss.
